We want to help empower women, so in October Gracie Barra Nottingham and Gracie Barra Arnold will each be holding FREE women’s only self-defence workshops taught by our experienced female instructors.
Known as “The Gentle Art”, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uses leverage and proper technique to teach a smaller and weaker person to successfully defend against a bigger opponent. It is the perfect martial art for women interested in learning how to defend themselves. You don’t need to be fast or strong, you just need the proper techniques and timing.
Our Women in Charge workshops will look at common scenarios and aggressions against women and teach you BJJ based techniques to effectively react safely against them. You will learn simple techniques that you can continue to practice at home, building muscle memory and increasing their effectiveness. When you can recognise potential threats and have a good foundation in effective self-defence, you will feel more confident in your day to day life. Spaces are limited, reserve yours now!
Our classes will take place at the times below, please choose the location that suits you best:
Gracie Barra Arnold – October 21st at 3pm – 4pm
Gracie Barra Nottingham – October 22nd at 12pm – 2pm
